6.6 Promotional Codes

  • Help affiliates track offline marketing efforts and promotional campaigns

  • Affiliates can share codes to track referrals. Easy to set up and distribute through the platform. It is possible to attach a promotional code to a Landing Page or Marketing Email

Promotional codes must be manually created by your brand and assigned to the relevant Affiliates/IBs and campaigns. You should also configure in your CRM.

For proper integration, your Tech Provider needs to share the data. This ensures that, in the end, each promo code used by the customers is accurately linked to the corresponding affiliate.

  • Navigate by the left Sidebar Menu and click on the Marketing Tools > Promotional Codes

  • Use the Search bar on top to search with keywords

  • The strikethrough rows are codes with an expired date

  • Use the icons on the rightmost of each rows to:

    • Edit, with the pencil icon, to modify the expiration date of the code and to change the allowance or not of override referral tracking.

    • Delete, with the trashcan icon, to delete the promotional code.

  • Use the Create Promotional Code button on the top right corner of the Panel. To be valid it will also be necessary to add it in the tech provider’s platform. A pop up window will appear:

    • By Search Affiliate, create the Promotional Code filtering by a particular affiliate

    • Select Campaign, the available options will depend on the chosen affiliate

    • Select a Promotional Code, named the new promotional code

    • Set the Expiration date, select the date where the promotional code ends

    • Enable the Override Referral Tracking box, if you want the promocode to override the tracking link

    • To create the Promotional Code, use the Save button

Checking Override Referral Tracking (enable): if a client clicks one affiliate’s link but enters a promocode belonging to another affiliate, the attribution will follow the promocode. Example: client clicks AFF1’s link but enters AFF2’s promocode:

  • Box Enabled: Affiliate 2 gets the client (commission corresponds to AFF2)

  • Box Disabled: Affiliate 1 gets the client (commission corresponds to AFF1)
